Recipe: Hummus

Etta’s homemade Hummus made in the VitaMix

1 Cup cooked garbanzo beans, drained
1 T. raw Tahini
1/2 cup red bell pepper
1/2 cup cilantro
1/4 cup water
1 clove garlic
1/2 green chili pepper – for extra punch

Seasonings to taste – cumin, more garlic, red chili powder

Add all to VitaMix and turn on high – use press to mash down
Be careful with water amount. You need enough to not clog or burn up your machine but not too much that it gets runny.

Scoop out with rubber spatula
Add seasonings to taste
Add some smashed avocado for a real treat.

Eat with raw zucchini slices, raw sliced carrots, red bell pepper and baked chips.
