Recipe: Etta's Super Duper Green Drinks
Prepared in a Vita-Mix blender or equivalent powerful machine

Breakfast Smoothie
1 cup almond milk or rice dream (make my own almond milk)
1 cup fresh or frozen blueberries or mixed berries
1 cup chopped fresh pineapple or
1/2 banana (optional – especially if you add greens to it)
1 large scoop Juice Plus Vanilla Complete
1 T. – 1/4 cup ground flax seeds (build up gradually to the extra fiber and grind them yourself in a coffee grinder or VitaMix
2 Leaves of kale and/or some spinach
Water to consistency that is drinkable

Add the greens only when your digestion will tolerate the mix of fruits and cruciferous vegetables. You won’t taste the greens. This can get quite thick so I sometimes add a little water when I drink it since I drink it throughout the morning.

Afternoon Veggie drink
I mix this in my Vita-Mix and load it with the heavy stuff first. Try to buy all organic if it is available. I usually can find all organic except the ginger. Blend with filtered water to consistency you like. It can get very thick since it is whole food. This can also be quite good with a tomato juice starter and not the apple.

1 whole carrot
1 stalk of celery
1 slice of ginger (peeled)
2 thick slices of cucumber
1 1” square of red beet (not too much since it can overpower the drink)
2-3 leaves of kale (most important nutrition)
2-4 leaves of spinach or a handful of baby spinach
any other veggies such as stems of broccoli or outer cabbage leaves
1 red apple (for sweetness to make if more palatable)

These drinks should be chewed to get the digestive juices flowing. Take your time drinking these nutritious drinks.
